The Island of Manhattan

Look very closely and you will see the Statue of Liberty in the background!

The church is located right across from Ground Zero.  This is where many of the responders came to get something to eat, get some needed rest or assistance.

Ground Zero - lots of construction going on now.

Kai loved the ferry ride we took part way around the island of Manhattan - here she looks at the Statue of Liberty.

Look closely and you can see both the Chrysler building and the Empire State Building in the back.

Kai loved this water spout area.  In the background is the Aircraft carrier Intrepid.

Our trip back east

On our drive to Syracuse, NY from Pittsburg, PA we found this little town of McKean, PA.

This cabin is on the original location of the Smith home.

Kai loves her slides - she found this at the pumpkin patch farm.

Kai thought the "cow train" was lots of fun!

This is an even bigger slide Kai must have gone down at least 15 times.

After lunch we had a wagon ride around the farm

Fun with the Kailie Harbor

Gina and I found this onsie at the swap meet. We had to get it for Kailie.

Kailie loves to climb anywhere and everywhere. She was fascinated with her stroller because it was inside the condo. She kept climbing in and out. Here she is trying to climb into the stroller basket underneath - she eventually made it. She is determined just like her father.

While I was in Hawaii with Jared and Gina in April, we were able to get away for a few fun moments with Kailie at the park

James Graduates from the University of Utah

James waits enthusiastically (RIGHT) for the graduation to begin. He was so bored. He kept texting Marissa with how bored he was.

James said "I sat here for two hours for these 15 seconds!"

James and Marissa celebrate on graduation day!

I don't have any new fun pictures to post. I just want to take this time and wish everyone a Happy Easter! I am once again reminded that Easter doesn't come in the spring of the year by accident. I believe that our Heavenly Father uses symbols. Just as spring is a rebirth each year Easter and the Savior remind us that we can each have a new birth. As we come to accept his Gospel and keep the covenants we can become as Paul said "new creatures in Christ". I hope we will each take a moment to reflect and recommit our lives to keeping our covenants and becoming more Christlike in our actions.
